FRIDAY THE 13TH: THE ROOT OF EVIL (BACK TO THE WOODS): This looks to be your typical Jason flick, not to say that that's bad because i dig the guy in the mask. Plenty of underage youths meeting their fate at the end of a machette and other creative weapons. Since I'm a Jason Head I will deffinitely peep this one when it's done in production. The release date says August 2003, But Fanfilms.net has it listed as in production so you be the judge. Directed by Richard Spinelli. STAR WARS-DUALITY- Ok, I know that this trailer is a little old...but i liked it so much that i want to give it a plug anyhoo. This one appears to be about a Sith in training. The graphics of the modified TIE Fighter and the images of the Emperor look fantastic! I haven't gotten around to seeing Duality yet but i bet it's awesome. Check back often and i should have a review of Duality soon. This film is by Crew Of Two Productions. The release date on the trailer is 2/10/01. STAR WARS-EPISODE XIII: THE VORHEES MENACE- It's like putting two good things together (Reeses Peanut Buttercup style) The trailer for this Fan Film opens with two warriors engaged in a lightsabre duel when suddenly Jason pops out of nowhere wielding a machette lightsabre (How frickin' cool is that!) NIGHTWING: A KNIGHT IN BLUDHAVEN: This is another Fan Film based on a comic storyline. This time it's Nightwing stealing the spotlight from His pointy eared mentor. Right off the bat this trailer grabbed my attention. Nice choice of soundtrack adding to the build-up. I only have one complaint here...There are too many shots of the cityscape. Maybe some shots of the citizens walking the streets as our hero stirs in the shadows. Other than that this one looks like it's going to be a winner. I have always been a big Nightwing fan since his Titan days and I have to say that they definitely got the costume right.Directed by Matt Garman and Neal Barlow for Two Man Movies. www.twomanmovies.com

SIDEKICK - Director Blake Van De Graaf and Writer/Producer Michael Sparaga bring You this story of an ordinary Joe with big dreams and a friend who is far from ordinary. Norman Neal is Computer Consultant obsessed with comic books and His office's Receptionist. Norman dreams of one day becomming a real life Superhero and finally winning the heart of the Receptionist. One fateful day Norman discovers that His office co-worker Victor posseses super powers. Victor has the ability to control objects using Telekenisis. After telling the local comic shop owner about Victor Norman decides that He will help Victor refine His newfound power and turn Him into a real life Superhero with Himself as the faithful Sidekick. HERO TOMORROW-On the way from the good peoples over at Swinging Cane Productions is an interesting looking film called HERO TOMORROW. This film is the story of a struggling comic book artist who does menial jobs during the day but dreams of doning a costume an taking on real world crime at night as a masked vigilante. His fashion designer girlfriend decides to make Him a real costume based on the designs of His original character The Apama! Will The Young artists obsession with becomming a superhero ruin His already rocky romance with His girlfriend? Just like Me You'll have to wait for this puppy to come out for the answer. On the website the creators describe this one as "An offbeat kick in the ass to the Superhero genre". I'm sold! Do you like your women head to toe in leather sporting a big ol' whip and handing out cans of whupass? Well, usually you would find that on another(much naughtier) site, But in this case your'e in the right place. There is a Catwoman film currently in the production stages over at ABM DGIFilms called CATWOMAN-NINE LIVES. The story Has The Gotham Mob squaring off against Catwoman over control of Gotham's East End. To assist them in getting rid of their cat problem The Mob hires the one and only Harley Quinn! With appearances by Batman and The Joker this one has all the makings of a winner. visit the official site today!

That's right folks, Fanboy Theatre is the first to get images form the upcoming JSA Fan Film by Sam Gardner! The film is just a trailer at the moment, but Sam plans on doing a full length feature. So far Sam has completed costumes for The Flash(Jay Garrick of course), Sandman, The Shade,& Superman. Costumes for Black Canary and The Spectre are on the way. This project will also feature Batman who has a big part in the film. It looks like Sam is going for a true period piece, featuring old cars from the 30's and 40's. I think it would be safe to say that this is the first Golden Age DC Fan Film. Finally my prayers have been answered! A GREEN ARROW Fan Film is currently in production!! And not only is it The Emerald Archer, but it's my favorite version of the character! The version of G.A. in the film is based on Mike Grell's design first appearing in DC Comics GREEN ARROW-THE LONGBOW HUNTERS. I liked this version of the character best because He was more believable. No trick arrows or Robin Hood hats here, just real arrows and plenty of Ollie attitude! I would compare this vision of the character with Frank Miller's version of THE DARK KNIGHT. Grim and gritty always translates well in a Fan Film. No set release date for this baby yet. DEADSHOT-Coming soon from Stormfront Productions comes this first ever Deadshot Fan Film! Floyd Lawton has moved to a small town to get away from the temptations of killing people. But personal motivations, outside interference, and appearances by several "former " Teamates force Lawton to don His silver mask once again. CONFESSIONS OF A TEENAGE SUPERGIRL. Coming soon is a film Brought to You by Dan Nastro that tells the tale of a young Kara (Supergirl) sent to Earth to finish a mission that Her Father had started, a battle for the freedom of all Kryptonians. The film is currently in Pre-Production and filming may begin in mid August.

LAST CALL- Green Goblin's Last Stand Director and star Dan Poole is putting the final touches on His Wolverine Fan Film entitled Last Call. Alphadogproductions.net tells us that the film will be available for download shortly. Stop by the site and check out some teaser pics and a poster. SNIKT!

A sequel to THE NIGHTMARE ENDS ON HALLOWEEN is on the way from Director Chris R. Notarile and Blinky Productions. The film will be an impressive 90 minutes and will feature appearances by BATMAN, THE JOKER, BANE, LOIS LANE, And of couse The Man Of Steel Himself SUPERMAN! PATIENT J-After a long wait Aaron Schoenke and Bat In The Sun Productions return with their new film PATIENT J. The fil will take us inside the walls of Arkham Asylum where a secret meeting is taking place between The Joker and one very brave psychologist. The Joker takes the time to reflect on His warped career of crime and to turn the tables on the interviewer. This film looks like it's gonna be a doozy featuring appearances by Superman, Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy, Hush, Mad Hatter, Nightwing, and Robin. JOR-El- That's right, there is a Jor-El animated Fan Film currently in production. Thanks to my buddies over at bluetights.net for the scoop. This project is animated in a style similar to that of Bruce Timm's Superman animated series while maintaining a comic book feel. The clip available for download on the website is rather poor but it gives you an idea of what the creators are trying to achieve and it looks very promising. David Spitzer has released new pics from His upcoming Batman Fan Film BATMAN FORMULAS. Up for viewing are pics of His Bat suit including a very cool cowl based on Jim Lee's design for the HUSH series . SUPERMAN:UNPLUGGED-Coming Soon from Director Eric Waters and Producers Yvonne Caycedo, Geoffrey Collymore and Brandon Far comes the next great team up in Fan Filmdom. This time Superman will team up with Neo of THE MATRIX to thwart the plans of Lex Luthor and Agent Smith. This one promises to be a heavy hitter in the vein of BATMAN-DEAD END and GRAYSON. The film will be the first in a possible three film series. There is no set release date as of yet, or a website for that matter, But We will let You Guys know whenever the info becomes available. JOKER-Also on the way from Chris Notarile & Blinky Productions comes a new Joker Fan Film taking a look at the darker side of the character before He became the Clown Prince Of Crime. Here is a synopsis from the Director.."Literally in His first week after His chemical bath at Ace Chemicals, The Joker-Still part time Hitman for hire, is sent on a mission by some nafarious characters to eliminate a good hearted snooping around where He is not wanted. The Joker, still rough around the edges, not only does the job, but in the spirit of things to come performs an insanely psychotic brutal job as well. After savagely beating the Man and His Wife to death with a crowbar, The Joker gets creative with a switch blade and has His way with them. Shot like a Horror Movie, JOKER will feature America's most sinister serial killer as He is rarely seen."

EMERALD COUNTY-Have You been waiting for Hal Jordan to finally make an apperance on SMALLVILLE like I have? Well, while not official this upcoming Fan Film will give Us a taste of GL getting The WB treatment. The film, by Director Joeseph Black, will basically be Smallville-like using characters from Green Lanterns circle, instead of Big Blues family, and putting them in a High School setting. Things will be slightly different since the cast is obviously younger than the characters from the current Green Lantern titles on the Comic Shop shelves. Director Joeseph Black also informs Me that He has taken some "creative liberties" with Hal Jordans origin story so don't expect everything to be text book GL. So far the cast consists of Hal Jordan (played by Joeseph Black), Guy Gardner (played by Bobby Jackson), and Carol Farris (played by Katrina Schiermeier). HOURMAN-Chris Notarile and Blinky Productions will shortly be bringing You the first Hourman Fan Film ever! In the film Hourman will be captured and poisoned with the same drug used in the film "Crank" leaving Him with no other option than tripling His ususal dose of Miraclo to stay alive along enough to find the antidote. HERO TOMORROW- A struggling Comic Book Artist decides to bring His character (APAMA) to life by literally becomming Him. The trailer looks like a nice mix of fast paced action and just the right touch of humor thrown in for good measure. I'm looking forward to this one. POWERCAT-On the way from creator Andy Rodriguez and New Phoenix Filmworks comes a new film featuring their latest superheroine POWERCAT! I don't have much available for a synopsis but I can tell You that the film will star Rachel Vieira in the lead role as PowerCat and will have even more of a comic book feel than their previous films. The film is currently in post production and will hopefully be ready for a release date of March 25th. We'll keep You posted. GREEN LANTERN-NEW DAWN-I am proud to announce that a Green Lantern Fan Film is actually in the making! The folks over at Calamity House Productions are currently working on a short which will star Kyle Raner as Green Lantern. Other heroes will make cameo appearances like Batman, Donna Troy, and John Stewart. According to the website this project may be a full length trailer like WORLD'S FINEST OR GRAYSON with some teaser trailers. Even though this may not turn about to be a full length film I'm still happy just to see GL finally get His time in the Fan Film spotlight. RETURN OF THE GHOSTBUSTERS-The Boys of Denver are back! This time Hank Braxtan's version of The Ghostbusters will not be starring in another crossover Fan Film, this is an all original story. This film will have The GB's facing off against a 2ist century Madman with the power of an Egyptian God. STAR TREK VS. BATMAN - I don't know about You, but when i heard about this project i thought GENIUS! This new Fan Film series by Director Christopher Allen and Rasco Motion Pictures will feature an acting showdown of sorts between the cast of the original Star Trek and the cast of the 60's Batman TV Series. Very awesome indeed :-) This project is currently in it's principal photography stages with no set release date just yet. LEGEND OF SUPERMAN-PT.3:KAL-EL-This third film in Palangi Productions Superman Fan Film series begins with Superman finding out that the Bounty Hunter sent to kill Him was hired by none other than Lex Luthor. ROBIN:PUNCHLINE-I stumbeled upon this project today and it looked very promising. September 5, 2004: UPDATE- I was listening to some random radio station the other day when i overheard a DJ sat that it looks like Jim Caviezel (Passion Of The Christ) may be the next Superman in the up and coming film. This announcement was a bit surprising because I didn't know that Caviezel was even in the running for the role. On the other hand i guess it wasn't that surprising after what i read in the recent issue of Wizard Magazine. Bryan Singer's sources say that He may be seeking His own Superman to play the big part. His sources also indicate that Singer may pick a virtual unknown for the lead (Example-Hugh Jackman in X-Men 1 & 2) I'm a little bummed out by the whole thing because I am a big fan of Welling's portrayl of Clark Kent in the hit show Smallville. At one point i read that He was in talks with Singer, even signing some sort of contract. Well, the latest news doesn't look good for Welling and Us Smallville fans. GI JOE-SPECIAL MISSIONS 2-ENTER FIREFLY Just finished watching this trailer and it nearly brought tears to my GI JOE Geek eyes. Finally some of my favorite JOE and COBRA agents will be brought to life on the silver Fan Film screen. The same folks who brought you the original GI JOE-SPECIAL MISSIONS 1 (IDIC Entertainment, see our review in the THE TRAILER REPORT) look to be pulling out all the stops with this action packed trailer. Not only do we get to see COBRA COMMANDER, We also have BEACHEAD, LADY JAY, and FIREFLY making their debuts. My review of the full length film is coming very soon.

September 28, 2004:UPDATE- I have been busy moving into my new place the last couple of days and i have just received the terrible news on Christopher Reeve's passing. Reeve was the definition of a true Hero. When faced with the seriousness of His injuries Reeve refused to just give up and accept His fate. Reeve was a true life Superman who taught us all to never give up on our hopes and dreams. Rest in peace Christopher and thanks for the memories.

Well, It's out with Jesus and in with the unknown. That's right,Bryan Singer has decided to dump Caviezel and go with a virtually unknown actor by the name of Brandon Routh to play The Man Of Steel in three up and coming big budget blockbusters. Welling supporters like myself are all still a bit bummed out out by the decision but at least the guy looks like Big Blue. January 8, 2005:UPDATE-Happy 2005 Everyone! And welcome back to The Theatre. I trust everyone had a good ol' time on New Year's Eve. Mine was okay except for the part of babysitting my friend who was decorating the streets of New York City with His vomit. Oh well, Life goes on and there is lots to talk about. Coming shortly will be My long overdue review of the Masucci Brothers brilliant X-Files Fan Film GRACELAND, as well as a review of the new Superman parody LOSING LOIS LANE. January 14, 2005:UPDATE-Chris R. Notarile from Blinky Productions sent Me this awesome poster for His coming film FRIDAY THE 31ST-MICHAEL VS. JASON So I thought I would share it with You Guys. January 18, 2005:UPDATE-I am VERY proud to announce that a second Fan Film based on Mike Grell's GREEN ARROW-THE LONG BOW HUNTERS is on it's way! This film by Director Chris Rayback will be told in three parts. The first short will be an introduction to the characters and the other two parts will come together to form a single short film.Chris was nice enough to share some pics of His film with Us, You can see them HERE .An official website for the film is on the way soon and the first part of the film is expected to be released in the first part of February. January 21, 2005:UPDATE-As most of You know I have been bringing You all the latest news on Johnny Wu's soon to be released film A JOKER'S CARD. Recently Mr.Wu has released the full length trailer to His film which can be viewed HERE. I checked out this trailer for the first time a couple of days ago and I was very impressed to say the least. Everything from the costume down to the musical score are top notch (especially for a Fan Film) and truly give the film it's own unique personality and feel. Johnny will be hosting a premire party for His film on April 22nd or 23rd, I'll keep you posted if this changes. Some nice looking stuff going on, I'm diggin' the extendable bow staff effect. Like the website says BE WARNED there is some strong language used so this one is not for kiddies. February 8, 2005:UPDATE-There is a new trailer up for viewing of the TOMB RAIDER Fan Film TOMB RAIDER:TEARS OF THE DRAGON. You can check it out at TombRaiderChronicles.com. This trailer gives us a good idea of what to expect when the film comes out. We get to see Lara mixing it up with the Bad Guys and exploring the caves for treasure. Oh, Did I forget to mention the very beautiful Valerie Perez as Lara Croft under a waterfall? Check out the new trailer as well as an exclusive interview with Ms. Perez.

February 10, 2005: As some of You may know there was a Batman Fan Film in the works based on the death of Jason Todd called BATMAN:MOURNING AFTER. I even posted a link to their trailer in My Trailer Report section awhile back. Anyhoo, Here's the bad news...The film is officially dead. Director Enrique Garcia stated on The Batmanfanfilms.com forum that the scope of the project was much bigger than He thought. This along with technical problems and lost footage put many nails in the coffin of MOURNING AFTER. Fortunately Mr. Garcia has posted the entire script on Batmanfanfilms.com for Us to enjoy. Also, For many images from the film along with teasers and trailers please visit the official site HERE. Well, Although the film is officailly scrapped I give Mr.Garcia much credit for taking on such a complicated story.

February 15, 2005:UPDATE-On the way in 2005 is a computer animated Supergirl Fan Film from Poland called SUPERGIRL-END OF THE FUTURE. In the film Supergirl will face a great tragedy in the first year of the XXI Century. The film is brought to You by UZ Entertainment. The official website has a teaser up for viewing as well as posters and movie stills. I checked out the teaser for Myself and thought it looked pretty darn cool, After all it's not everyday that You see a computer animated Supergirl.

February 16, 2005:UPDATE-Bad Apple Studios has something a little different in store for the Fan Film community. The company is currently working on a Batman Fan Film...Wait, let Me change that...A Batman VILLAIN Fan Film. That's right folks, This one will not focus on The Bat but instead THROUGH THE EYES OF A SCARECROW will tell the story of one of Batman's most feared foes The Scarecrow! The film will concentrate on Jonathan Crane and the events in His life that led to Him becomming the terrifying villain We know today. March 2, 2005:UPDATE-Bad News For Green Arrow Fans. It appears that creators Steven James Daff and Padraig Reynolds have decided to call off their Green Arrow short inspired by comic book writer and artist Mike Grell's version of the character. The trailer was a vehicle to try and raise some money for the short but it seems that didn't quite work out. The crew are currently concentrating their efforts on a horror film.
